Vice News is reporting that Hillary Clinton has been elected President of the United States of America.
Vice News’ Andrew Kaczynski and Kevin Murphy are reporting:The electoral college is the most powerful institution in the world, and it is a decision that is not made lightly.
We have seen that with the Supreme Court, with the Electoral College, and with the U.N.
The electoral vote is not a rubber stamp, and while the process has been called into question, this election is no different.
The outcome will determine whether the U,S.
remains a democracy, or whether our country goes down the path to authoritarianism.
We’ve had multiple presidents elected with fewer than 50 percent of the vote, including both George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
In each of those cases, the president was defeated by a Democrat who received a majority of the popular vote.
So, with this election, a new president is not elected.
We know that there are still millions of votes in play.
In fact, Vice President Joe Biden, who will become the fifth vice president of the Trump administration, told The Associated Press that he expects to get more votes than any of the other vice presidents.
The White House said the new president will be sworn in on Jan. 20, 2020.
